Northern Coast Oregon | Astoria | Seaside | Cannon Beach

Northern Coast Oregon | Astoria | Seaside | Cannon Beach

We did it! Hip Hip Hooray! Check another item off the good ol bucket list. We traveled up Hwy 101 all the way through Oregon into the state on Washington. We were probably in Washington for a total of 15-20 minutes. We simply wanted that picture proof that we had made it entirely up the coast of Oregon. All 363 miles. There was lots of smiling and giggling as we took these photos. I always get emotion when a trip…

Lincoln City Oregon | Lincoln City Float Fairies |Oregon Glass Floats | Glass Floats Lincoln City

Lincoln City is famous for their glass floats, and every year from mid October to Memorial Day float fairies flock to the beach daily to hide glass floats for beach goers to find and take home for a souvenir. This is my sad story on how I came, I saw, and well went home empty handed. No glass float pour moi! The three of us..and Lemon scoured the rough beach conditions for over an hour hoping to locate a glass…

Newport Oregon | Oregon’s Coastal Town of Newport | Coastal Oregon | Yaquina Bay Lighthouse

So we’ve been staying in Newport, Oregon and this town is exactly what I felt a coastal Oregon town was going to look like. This is now my fav town, thus far…(I feel like I say that every day now!!) Newport has a historical bayfront district with shops, entertainment, and home to the loudest seal lions I have ever heard and seen! Lemon was very curious and scared of these loudmouths. It was fun to watch them barking at eachother…

Oregon Coast Road Trip | Otter Rock | Depot Bay | Devil’s Punchbowl | Tillamook | Flying Dutchman Winery

Well we knew we wouldn’t get through this whole trip without a lil rain. Anndddddd it’s here! Flood warnings, high wind advisory, the rain just won’t quit. We even got flagged down by a park ranger because a tree fell on the road! But stuff like this makes for the best travel stories. We haven’t stopped giggling since the rain started. So this is one thing I learned when I was really young….When you travel things NEVER go as planned….

Cape Perpetua | Siuslaw National Forest | Cook’s Chasm | Thor’s Well | Spouting Horn | Devil’s Churn

Cape Perpetua, in the Siuslaw National Forest was one of the most recommended spots, when I told people I was doing a coastal Oregon roadtrip. Here viewers have the pleasure of literally seeing nature at its best. You’re able to see multiple natural wonders in short walking distance. Including Cook’s Chasm, Spouting Horn, Devil’s Churn, and Thor’s Well. With names like that you know $h!+ is gonna be cray!!! You get a slight uneasy feeling in your gut when you’re…

Heceta Head Lighthouse | Tour Heceta Head Lighthouse | Oregon Coast Road Trip

I have been so impressed with the state park system here in Oregon. Everything is so easy to understand, so clean, and so beautiful. It’s an outstanding park system offering amazing experiences. The Heceta Head Lighthouse exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting to have park employees at the lighthouse ready to answer any question and take guests on guided tours. I also wasn’t expecting such an interactive tour and visit. We spent hours exploring the lighthouse and the grounds around it….

Florence, Oregon | Oregon Coast Road Trip | Florence Oregon Coastal City | What To Do In Florence

Welp I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love traveling with Lemon but she always makes a road trip (well actually any trip) slightly more difficult. And, Florence caused some puppy problems for us! As we drove to Florence we got online and reserved a room at the River House Inn. When we arrived a couple minutes later we were so excited about how cute the placed looked. The location was perfect, the best in the city…walking distance…

Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area | Oregon Sand Dunes | John Dellenback Dunes Trail

And all of a sudden I was in a desert…in Oregon?!? Approximately 40 miles of dunes to be exact. The largest coastal sand dunes in North America. We decided to do the John Dellenback Dunes trail, which is a pretty easy one-mile loop trail. When you reach the dunes you can run out and explore… then pick back up on the loop when your done making dunes angels! The hardest part of this hike is how much time you want…
